This week China has been reached a milestone of military use of space, with the launch of global positioning network trails for its Beidou. These moves to China came closer to one step for the space capabilities of matching U.S.
By the end year of 2020, China planned they successfully launch 35 satellites for the network of Beidou, however, the China military will be allowed to current dependence for navigation on the Russia’s GLONASS system as well as the global positioning network signal (GPS) in U.S.
Meanwhile, distinct the less accurate civilian descriptions of GLONASS as well the GPS will be accessible to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), so, this network will gave accuracy the China to smart munitions, other weapons as well missile guides.
Andrei Chang, a Hong Kong-based analyst of the Chinese military and editor of Kanwa Asian Defense magazine said that:
“This will allow a big jump in the precision attack capability of the PLA.”
Rendering to the China Satellite Navigation Management Office, by the end of next year China has launched six more Baidou satellite, currently they launch a ten (10) satellite
The experts of foreign military and Chinese express that the General Armaments Department and General Staff Department coordinate with each other closely as well they support all the space programs of China, “within the sprawling science and aerospace bureaucracy.”
However, the part of that system, “Big Dipper,” or the Beidou:
“Network will have an important military role alongside the country’s rapidly expanding network of surveillance, imaging and remote sensing satellites.”
